We currently have two vacancies:
- M1 to M2 Class Teacher (to initially work in our Nursery Class)
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant (also initially to work in our Nursery Class).
M1 to M2 Class Teacher (Closing date: Thursday 26th June 2025 - at 09:00).
Role: Early Years Class Teacher (Nursery)
Salary: MPS M1 – M2
Contract: Full Time
Start Date: September 2025
The headteacher and governors at Halton Lodge Primary School wish to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Early Years Class Teacher who has the drive, vision, energy and commitment to join our hardworking and passionate team. Initially, the post will be to teach in our new school-based Nursery class – which will open in September 2025 – but the person we appoint must also have the skills and ability to also work across the primary age range (EYFS, KS1 and KS2) if needed.
We are looking to appoint an individual who:
- Is an excellent classroom practitioner who values all children;
- Knowledge and understanding of what constitutes excellent provision and outcomes for learners in an EYFS setting;
- Has comprehensive knowledge of the EYFS curriculum;
- Demonstrates high expectations of individual achievement and behaviour;
- Is creative and enthusiastic;
- Has good organisational and interpersonal skills;
- Has flair, talent and initiative;
- Demonstrates a commitment to raising standards;
- Is able to work in close partnership with the other members of the Early Years provision at our school ( and with the whole school and Weaver Trust community).

Role: Early Years Teaching Assistant
Location: Halton Lodge Primary School
Salary: Grade 4 SCP 4-6
FTE: £24,404 to £25,183 Actual Salary Pro-Rata: £18,519 to £19,110
Contract: Fixed Term for 1 year initially
Hours: 32.5 hours per week (full time). Term Time only (39 weeks).
Start Date: September 2025
The Headteacher and Governors Halton Lodge Primary School (soon to become Halton Lodge Nursery & Primary School) wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work alongside our Early Years team, to work with and support the children in our Nursery and Reception classes. This position will be temporary (fixed term) in the first instance but will hopefully become a permanent position once the number of children who attend our new school-based nursery make this viable.
